The Charles Macklin Autumn School, Culdaff, Inishowen, Co.Donegal is now in its 19th year and continues to be a highlight in the calendar of events in the North West. The poetry competition has featured throughout the eighteen years and to mark its success a book of poetry, which included many entries from the previous years, was published. The publication entitled Mac poems.com celebrates the 10th anniversary of the School and includes illustrations by Tim Stampton.
Entries are invited for the 19th Charles Macklin Poetry Competition.
The competition is sponsored by A.I.B Bank
Prizes

150 euro for the single poem
150 euro for the best collection of poems (6-12)
also prizes for 2nd and 3rd in the single poem category

1 Entries must not have been published before in any form whatsoever.
2 Entries must be typed. Please keep a copy, as entries will not be returned.

No identification of entrant’s identity may appear on the entry. Give name and address on separate cover note.

4 Entry fee must be forwarded with each individual entry, otherwise entry will not be sent to adjudicator
5 Entrants must be over 18
6 The adjudicator’s verdict is final.
7 Winners only will be notified by post.
8 All cheques should be made payable to Charles Macklin Autumn School.
9 Entries must be received by 25 September 2009
10 The Charles Macklin Autumn School reserve the right to publish winning entries in local press.
11 No correspondence will be entered into regarding entries.
12 Entry Fee is 5 euro per single poem submitted and 15 euro for each collection.
